Job description
A Finance Director is required to join an SME group operating in civil engineering & construction related industry sectors. A full member of the Senior team you will be responsible for the Finance & admin function of the business managing a small but highly professional team. You will be responsible for monthly P&L, group & board reporting with full involvement in daily cash flow management & working capital plus the monthly accounting schedule. This is a full function role with both technical & commercial aspects. We require a fully qualified (or equivalent) Accountant who wants the opportunity to fulfil a broad remit in an SME environment where team work & going the extra mile are vital. The successful candidate must possess significant experience in either construction, contracting, civil engineering or allied sectors. In depth experience of project/job costing & managing commercial risk & working capital are desirable attributes. You will need to be technically competent but commercially aware having the confidence & background to work closely with Operational & Commercial teams. Our client is an SME group operating in civil engineering & construction related industry sectors. They have maintained & developed their market position despite challenging trading conditions by a core focus on operational efficiency & greatly enhanced customer satisfaction.
