Job description
The role of the designated Finance Director involves financial stewardship of the company including four key areas: company’s cash liquidity management, financial controls, quality and timely production of management and financial reporting and providing leadership to the Finance team reporting directly to MD. Specific responsibilities include: ensuring a robust finance control environment; month end management reporting; improving monthly/quarterly reporting processes and implementation of financial systems; preparation and monitoring of budgets; development and production of Capex and operational financial forecasts; preparation of statutory accounts and audit; strategic tax planning; other general duties, ie building strong relationships across the group; accountable for the Finance team performance. The candidate: qualified ACA Accountant; post qualified experience gained either in a professional services practice or a medium sized business involved in Project Development and operational management; strong financial reporting experience; industry standard accounting system knowledge essential, SAGE accounting preferred; ability to manage and lead a team through hands-on management; working knowledge of Excel is essential and Advanced Excel skills are advantageous; good planning and organisational skills. The company: our client is a growing SME with aggressive plans to move forward the business and those employed within it. Salary and benefits: £60,000 - £70,000. Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
