Job description

Our client is a long-established privately owned group and a leader in its field. It is engaged in the provision of professional services and has global operations and a broad client base. A “commercial” FD is sought for the UK, a business with t/o approaching c. £40 million operating through a number of offices across the country. As a UK board member and supported by a small team you will be responsible for finance within the UK, including reporting, management accounts, cash flow forecasting and cash collection and play a key role in the strategy and development of the UK business. You will be professionally qualified with at least 5 years financial management experience in a senior position, have a good systems orientation, with good communication and people management skills and a “get things done” outlook. As a team player with an analytical and inquisitive mind, you will be a pro-active self-starter and provide a credible sounding board and constructive challenge to senior management. You will ideally have worked in a contract based service business, probably engaged in the time-charging of professional services. You will be eligible for an award of equity in the Group which is aiming for a flotation. The location has excellent motorway and rail links to London and Midlands
