Job description

We are currently recruiting into the newly created role of Finance Manager for our client based in Alloa. Reporting to the FD, you will assume responsibility for leading and developing the Finance function, ensuring it provides timely and meaningful financial information and analysis to aid the strategic decision-making process. Delivering high quality financial reports you will work closely with non-financial Managers to review financial performance, prepare long-term forecasts and identify both risks and opportunities through the interpretation and analysis of financial information. Leading on the annual statutory accounts process, you will also review and update existing financial policies and procedures, ensuring a programme of cost-effective internal controls and promoting best practice where applicable. You will be a fully qualified Accountant with proven staff management experience ideally gained within a small to medium sized organisation. With strong analytical skills and relevant experience within the financial planning environment, you will be able to demonstrate a strong track record and an inclusive approach to developing and maintaining relationships with non-financial Managers. Previous experience of implementing new IT systems and developing accounting controls and procedures would be highly beneficial.
