Job description
A Finance Manager is required on a permanent basis for a division of our FTSE listed client. This is a very commercial role involving a high level of communication with internal and external customers in a fast-paced business. Experience required includes: qualified Accountant; experience of balance sheet control and reconciliation; proven ability to support non-finance staff in the management of cost centres; involvement in the production of business cases; ability to identify the key financial and service risks from financial data; advanced Excel skills. The role offers considerable career progression and the opportunity to work with some of the best senior finance people in the Midlands and presents further progression in the wider group of companies in the medium to long-term. Amongst others, key responsibilities include: provide accurate and timely reporting on the cost centre performance; provide meaningful, value adding analysis on issues impacting the business both current and future; ownership of profit centre forecasting/budgeting processes; provide proactive support to the FC on month end issues and produce key analysis schedules; working with the FC to effectively control debtor levels; relate business performance to financial impact and inform the FC; management of team goals; ensuring all resources and implications are planned for, managed and owned.
