Job description
One of London’s most widely-respected Sporting organisations is currently seeking a Finance Manager to join its Finance function to cover a period of maternity leave, reporting to an exceptionally knowledgeable Head of Finance. The successful candidate will enjoy the broadest possible brief with responsibility for preparing both the financial statements and the monthly management accounts. Responsibilities: managing a team of three (2 qualified, and 1 part-qualified), the Finance Manager will be responsible ensuring the timely and accurate submission of the consolidated financial statements; the budgets, forecasts and variance analysis; all VAT submissions and the continual development of the three direct reports. Candidates will, ideally, come from a Top 10 chartered background, or a CIMA qualified Accountant from a respected graduate scheme. They will come from a relevant sector background (sport, leisure, retail etc) and will have post qualified experience. This is a truly fantastic opportunity to join one of the world’s most prominent and exciting sports organisations with exposure to some extremely high profile projects. Candidates will have exposure to all departments within the organisation and will have the confidence and ability to communicate and work alongside both finance and non-finance people.
