Job description

Our large Christchurch based client, the UK’s leading organisation within its field, currently has an excellent opportunity for a Head of Finance to join one of the largest business units within the division, a position created following a recent restructure. Reporting to the FD and with one direct member of staff, you will support the Senior Management team in the delivery of strategic plans, with responsibility for providing all financial and management reporting for the business unit which has a turnover of approximately £175m. Additionally, you will be responsible for reporting and forecasting against budget, with key deliverables including income statements and cash flows with some balance sheet responsibility. You will also take a lead in finance support for bid activity, providing financial modelling and ensuring these are maintained on an accurate and timely basis. With a professional accounting qualification, you will possess financial modelling, analytical and technical accounting skills, whilst experience in a large defence/manufacturing or engineering environment would be advantageous.
