Job description
Large Local Authority in Cumbria is looking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager for children's services. This is while they recruit on a permanent basis and will last approximately 4-6 months. The ideal candidate must have previous experience in this area. You will be responsible for the management of 22 staff who are split into various teams within the directorate. The initial focus will be around close down but you will also be responsible for a number of other areas including: managing the financial and service planning processes and implementing new initiatives and service reconfigurations; managing projects and service development, including partnership development and to lead on financial strategic development of major business changes and standards and performance.
