Job description
We are currently recruiting into the role of Finance Manager initially on a 12-month fixed term contract for our client based in Edinburgh. Reporting to the FD, you will be responsible for providing meaningful and timely financial and management accounting information to aid the strategic and operational decision-making process. Supervising a small Finance team you will provide monthly management accounts and analysis, lead on the budgeting and planning process and ensure there are effective systems, controls and procedures in place across the organisation. A key part of the role will also be focused on providing ongoing advice, including the mitigation of financial risk, to non-financial budget holders. You will be qualified Accountant with a proven track record in financial and management accounting and able to demonstrate the ability to work with and influence Senior Managers. With strong written and verbal communication skills, you will be able to present complex financial information with clarity and diplomatically challenge colleagues at all levels across the organisation. With strong organisation skills, you will be able to prioritise often competing demands from internal stakeholders and deal with ambiguity and uncertainty in an effective manner.
