Job description

Our client, a public sector organisation based in Hertfordshire, is looking for a qualified Accountant to join them as their Finance Manager. This position requires you to lead, manage and deliver the Directorates financial and accounting services to ensure that they are accurate, timely and consistent with corporate financial policy and practice, best professional Practice and all pertinent legislation and financial regulations. You will also be required to contribute, through the divisional management team to the overall management of the directorate and the achievement of its aims and operational objectives as well as contribute, through the Finance Forum, to the development of the organisations financial management, and the achievement of its aims and operational objectives. In addition you will need to be able to take on additional project work including the roll out and implementation of the Resource Allocation Systems. Suitable applicants will be qualified with extensive management experience and exceptional communication skills at all levels. The ideal candidate will also have public sector experience within Social Housing or Social Services.
