Job description
A successful, West London based Media business is looking to recruit a Finance Manager to cover a 15 month maternity. This broad role will require a talented individual to take all-round control of finance and the team, working alongside a successful CFO. The business: an independent global media group with offices throughout Europe and several business streams encompassing creation, production and distribution. The group is highly acquisitive and has experienced continued profit growth for the past 5 years. The role: the Finance Manager will take financial responsibility for the group’s largest and most profitable business unit for a period of 15 months. Duties will include: preparation of monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet and cash flow); budgets & forecasts - monthly quarterly & annually; preparation of a small number of bespoke profit share reports; main point of contact for all financial queries; partnering with Sales team; point of contact for Auditors; constant review and assessment of financial systems and process improvement; ad hoc work and projects for Group CFO. Required attributes: preferably ACA or CIMA qualified - ideally PQE; financial and management accounting experience in industry media experience preferred and or experience in a fast-paced sales environment; very strong Excel skills (including vlookups) & systems skills; understanding of IFRS revenue recognition staff management.
