Finance Manager - Environmental Contracts
Main Function of Role
To be responsible and accountable for all aspects of financial management in respect of key Midland Environmental contracts (c£50m pa). You will be based from head office in Leyland but the role will involve weekly travel to the Midlands.
Key Objectives:
- To provide full financial support and guidance to the Operational and Commercial areas of the business within the Midlands region.
- Be responsible for all information requested by Internal/External Auditors, ensuring prompt and accurate responses.
- To manage and develop direct reports, provide support to colleagues and develop strong partnerships with internal/external departments.
- To oversee and manage the local Delegation of Authority.
- To complete the monthly management accounts packs with full and detailed commentary; including use of the consolidation system (Cognos).
- Provision of various monthly reports for Client/Internal purposes.
- Responsible for the provision of monthly forecasts and annual budgets for internal purposes.
- Drive forward monthly budgeting and forecasting analysis with Operational/Commercial teams.
- Ensure completion of all balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Ensure full completion of weekly cash flow forecasts.
- Support ad hoc projects/tasks as required by client or Head of Finance.
- To perform other duties relevant to the function as directed by senior management.

Job Related Experience:
- Production of monthly management accounts to an excellent standard within required deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Works Manager, specifically PSJ or other finance system.
- Experience of working with operational teams to produce forecasts/budgets.

Education/Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA).
- GSCE/O Level Maths Grade C or above.
- GSCE/O Level English Language Grade C or above.
