Job description
Leading Retailer with European operations is looking to recruit a Financial Accounting Manager for its Central London head office. This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate: to develop their career within an award winning Retail company; ensure a complete and accurate monthly accounts file is produced in accordance with the month end timetable; run and review P&L statements for 64 stores and 3 head office and DC locations, ensuring postings are complete and variances analysed for submission in month end management accounts pack; ensure the P&Ls and balance sheet are completed with variance analyses for submission in month; management of the team of 3 Financial Accountants to ensure the smooth operation of various functions, including: cash and sales - all bank reconciliations and reporting of store banking discrepancies; wholesale - all invoicing and credit control, including the review and adjustment where required of the bad debt provision; assist the FC in the preparation of Corporation Tax computations, VAT returns and year end statutory accounts. Requirements: ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent; strong financial accounts experience, preferably within a multi-site retail environment; excellent systems skills, including familiarity with bespoke report development using finance systems; strong people skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop direct reports.
