Job description

An award winning TV Production company has an opportunity for a hands-on Finance Manager due to organic growth and acquisition. Covering a range of genres producing and creating high quality programmes and IP rights position to secure long-term media rights this is an exciting opportunity to join the company at a time of business expansion. The candidate: the ideal candidate will have strong academics and will be qualified (or close to qualification) in a recognised accountancy/finance qualification (eg ACCA/CIMA). Consideration will be given to other candidates with relevant industry experience (eg production accounting) but ideally, you will have gained experience working within the media industry. You will be experienced at effectively prioritising your workload. Strong communication skills are essential. You must be available at short notice. The role: reporting to the Group Controller, this is a ‘hands-on’ role encompassing the financial management of all aspects of production activities from Development & Radio to TV & DVDs. You will help coordinate the work of other staff including a Finance Assistant and Freelance Production Accountants. You will work closely with other members of the Finance team and liaise directly with Production Executives, the Business Affairs department and the Management of subsidiary production companies. You must be confident, proactive and collaborative in your approach to this role, enabling the company to achieve its commercial and creative aims whilst maintaining an effective and robust controls environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: providing timely information on all aspects of production, acting as a first point of contact for production staff.
