Job description
A leading Insurance firm based in the City is looking to recruit a Finance Manager (Europe) for a 6 month maternity cover (with the opportunity to go permanent). This fixed term contract will pay between £65000 & £85,000 per annum. Main accountabilities: improve cost controls, management information reporting, financial efficiency opportunities; coordinate required monthly actual input and related commentary by country in O&S management system clarity system; cost reporting; coordinate an annual global review of IT assets, identifying any impairment issues; provide comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT management and staff on all phases of the project development cycle; lead and conduct clear and concise executive level presentation and meeting materials for a variety of audiences; ensure consistent reporting for financial processes for both NY Finance and O&S through utilisation of same source documentation (ie Cognos); manage regional intercompany clearing house allocations to O&S departments; provide comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT management and staff on all phases of the project development cycle. Experience: finance planning or accounting in the insurance industry – preferable; experience with developing and/or monitoring operating and capital budgets as well as management reporting, cost benefit analysis, forecasting and working knowledge of accounting principles; advanced Excel and knowledge of SAP an advantage.
