Job description
An exceptional opportunity has arisen, due to growth, for an experienced Finance Manager to enjoy autonomy, variety & career progression with a division of this FTSE 100. Taking responsibility for a key contract within the Local Government services part of the business this role offers commercial scope as well as detailed finance. The Finance Manager will be involved with Project Managers & the Management team & be confident challenging figures/plans and have a proactive, credible approach. Responsibilities will include: day-to-day finance management of £15m per annum contract supplying IT transformation, IT BAU support and business transformation projects; sitting on local Senior Management team reporting to Divisional Senior Finance Manager, with two Assistant finance staff; meetings with client as required, especially on invoicing, but also on other finance issues; providing day-to-day support to business & SMT on revenue, costs & project accounting as well as with Project Managers and operations; month end reporting through ITS division & forecasting. The Finance Manager will be qualified (ideally CIMA) & have a good technical background, as well as management accounting & commercial experience, gained from a service/delivery focused environment. The ability to build relationships at all levels is essential and any IT sector exposure would be beneficial.
