Job description

An Engineering and Construction Business already has a multibillion-pound turnover and market-leading divisions in professional services, construction, support services and infrastructure investments, and we are determined to become a truly world-class business. Our new Customer Service Centre in Newcastle will pool knowledge and expertise across the Group, whilst increasing standardisation, realising efficiency savings and generating substantial revenues through delivering shared services to external customers. You will be part of it from the very beginning. The role: overseeing a team processing and recording financial transactions and associated documents, you will make certain that high volumes of work are completed against strict deadlines. In particular, you will drive changes to vendor master data, the registration of invoices and certificates, vendor and financial reconciliations and the scheduling of payments. At all times, you will maximise the performance of team members through effective recruitment, motivation and professional development. What we are looking for: to meet the challenge, you should be an experienced Manager with a strong track record of controlling payments within a shared service operating environment. This will have given you significant exposure to change management, broad awareness of financial governance and best practice, and highly developed leadership abilities. Equally importantly, you should have an accountancy related qualification and a degree level education, backed by impressive commitment to customer service and continuous improvement, plus proven flair for developing key processes, metrics and KPIs. Finally, it is vital that you are extremely computer literate, with knowledge of multicurrency ERP systems such as Oracle. Apply to ID Talent Direct for more information. No agencies or third parties please.
