Job description

Our client, a large Commercial organisation currently undertaking a significant programme of growth, is seeking a technically impressive qualified Accountant to join their Group function. Reporting to the Group FC, the role will take responsibility for the following areas: responsible for corporate assurance, planning and execution, including audit committee reporting; responsible for drafting accounting policies and procedures - ensuring these remain up-to-date with any changes in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or other external changes; preparing analysis of the financial effects of changes to accounting standards; responsible for setting budget process and timetable and providing analysis; preparing analysis to support investor relations; ad hoc projects or duties as deemed appropriate by the Group FC. Skills/experience: qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) with post qualified experience; qualified in a practice environment; experience of external (or internal) audit; good awareness of statutory reporting requirements; experience of international financial reporting standards; ability to review & interpret financial data; able to adapt to change, multi-task and appreciate the ‘big picture’.
