Job description
Robert Half Finance and Accounting is currently recruiting for a Finance Manager/Revenue Recognition Manager for an established and growing Software company based in Reading, Berkshire. This exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Accounting team to ensure the company reports revenue in accordance with US GAAP in a timely and accurate manner, supporting a variety of functions including Sales, Sales Ops, Legal, Order Services and Professional Services. The role: the role will involve review key license transactions to conclude on the appropriate revenue accounting treatment and document conclusions for presentation to the external Auditors as part of the regular quarterly review; to be involved in preliminary and final contract review, advising the Sales, Sales Ops and Legal teams on the revenue recognition implications of proposed transactions; to ensure all accounting adjustments are completed in a structured manner during the month end process and that these entries reflect the correct revenue recognition treatment in accordance with US GAAP; to assist in tracking multiple element arrangements, liaising with the Sales and Professional Services groups to understand deal structures; to provide continuous support to the Order Services Group on all revenue recognition issues. The successful Senior Financial Accountant/will experience working with in a US/Software organisation with strong USGAAP/SOP-97 knowledge. This role will suit somebody who is seeking a new challenge within a growing organisation. Salary & benefits: £55,000-£65,000 plus benefits.
