Finance Manager (Treasury) – 7278BR
Location: Harlow

As a world leader in defence systems and solutions, we require a Finance Manager to lead the treasury activities based at our Harlow, Essex site.

Job Description:

  • Oversee the Treasury team.
  • Manage the company’s bank and cash processes.
  • Manage the company’s foreign exchange exposure.
  • Manage daily cash requirements; forecast future cash requirements through rolling 12-month and five-year cash forecasts.
  • Manage the company’s receivables and credit control processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage team of five in the Treasury function.
  • Manage and maintain the company’s bank and cash processes, including bonds and guarantees.
  • Manage FX listings, ensuring hedges are in line with the latest business forecasts.
  • Manage letters of credit.
  • Produce rolling 12-month and five-year cash forecasts, liaising with corporate treasury to ensure funding meets future cash flow needs.
  • Manage treasury reporting and support month end close processes.
  • Month end reconciliation of intercompany balances and interest.
  • Manage the company’s accounts receivables and credit control processes, including following up on overdue payments and processing and reviewing customer credit limits.
  • Develop enhanced internal controls and desk procedures to support treasury processes through R6s process.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and enhance control environment and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Support transition to SAP.
  • Ad hoc requests.

Qualifications:

  • Proven accounting experience post qualification with related accountancy qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Practical experience of cash management and foreign exchange exposures.
  • Practical experience of accounts receivables and credit control processes.
  • Detail oriented with hands-on management skills.
  • Excellent practical accounting skills.
  • Good understanding of cash management and cashbook processes.
  • Solid understanding of receivables accounting and credit control processes.
  • An enquiring mind is needed in order to properly resolve any errors that come to light during the invoicing and reconciliation processes.
  • Good oral and written communication skills are a must in order to explain and secure assistance for resolving problems with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Using R6s mindset, build functional and technical excellence.
  • MS Excel and Word skills.
