An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager within our Commercial division of the business. Based at our head offices in West Bromwich & reporting to the Divisional FD, you will be responsible for preparing the monthly finance overhead costs, monitoring & reporting on key client mobilisation costs, whilst implementing process improvement within the business & assisting on strategy implementation, ad hoc reporting & financial project work.
The Role
Accountable for driving efficiencies & cost savings throughout the business, liaising with central & business finance to ensure implementation of policies, procedures & new services, whilst working with key stakeholders to ensure services are delivered in accordance with Service Partnering Agreements & key measures. The focus of the role will be to act as an interface with the financial shared service, providing information & recommendations to the FD in terms of costs, profits, markets & added value, reviewing & ensuring that financial controls are in place & adhered to, whilst conducting closing processes for period end & year end & delivering timely production of the business reporting suite & other documents for the Finance Director. It is also essential for the successful applicant to stay informed of trends & changes in the Finance fields, particularly Financial Accounts, with knowledge of Health & Safety to ensure compliance & provide recommendations.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant with a high degree of financial, commercial & customer awareness.
- A proven track record of working within a General Ledger Accounting environment.
- Excellent knowledge & practice in working capital management & cash flow forecasting/targeting.
- Excellent numerical skills.
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels up to senior.
- Management and present a professional image at all times.
- Excellent organisation skills with ability to think laterally.
- Excellent computer (Word/Excel/Powerpoint/Outlook) skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively whilst operating across a diverse range of.
