Job description
An experienced Finance Manager is required for a temporary to permanent opportunity for an established organisation based in Birmingham. The Finance Manager will initially be responsible for improvements in processes and controls in the Finance department. The day-to-day duties will include budgets, forecasting, P&L etc. Further responsibilities will involve various support functions to the Cost Centre Managers such as pricing strategies and supplier contracts, cost saving initiatives and other ad hoc duties. The successful Financial Manager will ideally be a fully qualified Accountant, with in-depth experience of balance sheet control and reconciliations. You must have a proven track record in supporting non-financial staff in cost centres, previous involvement in the production of business cases, and have the flexibility and willingness to drive forward change. The organisation is a leading service provider to nationally based clients and also has its own manufacturing facilities. With increased financial pressures, a large part of this role will be to drive down costs and communicating with the Cost Centre Managers the changes and having them on side. Only applicants with a suitable amount of UK based finance experience and who have a legal right to work within the UK will be considered.
