Job description
Alexander Daniels is recruiting a Finance Manager on behalf of a Wolverhampton based Manufacturing company. As part of wider structural changes this role has been created to deliver enhanced accounting services to this large national business. Managing a small team you will be responsible for maintaining the fixed asset register and developing the reporting and processes around this. You have full control for capital spend and will have to work closely with business Manager and operations Directors on project spend, monitoring actual versus budget and forecast versus budget on a regular basis. In addition there will also be project-based work and a requirement to look at ways of improving general processes and controls to make greater working efficiencies for the business. In order to succeed as the Finance Manager, you will be a strong all-round Accountant, ideally qualified either ACA/ACCA/ACMA. Previous experience dealing with fixed assets and capital expenditure would be beneficial but not essential. You must be a strong communicator capable of dealing extensively with non-finance in a pragmatic way. You should be a capable Manager not afraid to ask questions and make changes where required. My client is a large Manufacturing business based in Wolverhampton and sought after employer of choice for the region. A large and recognised brand they offer good opportunities for progression and development.
Please note, it is unlawful to employ a person in a UK-based job who does not have permission to live and work in the UK. You should make yourself aware of how immigration laws apply to your situation before applying for any jobs. (Refer: Home Office Website).
