Job description
My client based in Central York is a Specialist Construction/Engineering and maintenance organisation with operations across the UK. As part of the ongoing evolution of the Central Finance function the need has arisen to recruit a high calibre Finance Manager. Reporting to the UK FC, you will provide financial and commercial support to all areas of the Northern based operations and the wider business community. With 3 reports you will produce all divisional reporting including monthly accounts, budgets and forecasts as well as ensuring financial controls are adhered to. Working closely with Operational Heads, you will challenge and maximise financial performance developing an awareness of the Business Units (BU) profit/business drivers ensuring all BUs achieve their best performance. Other aspects of the role cover year end responsibilities and contact with Internal/External Auditors. Qualified ACA/CIMA or ACCA, you will be highly numerate with a strong technical accounting background as well being able to demonstrate a strong commercial awareness couple with an undoubtable business acumen. Ideally you will have some previous experience in the construction/engineering field.
