Job description
Our client was created through a large scale voluntary transfer of the housing stock from Erewash Borough Council which took place in March 2002. They own and manage around 5,800 homes, within the boundaries of the Erewash Borough. They have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer (Management Accounts) to join their Finance department; you will support the Management Accountants in the provision of a financial management service for the group. The post will initially be based in Long Eaton but you will also work at their other group offices as required. You will assist in the production of timely, accurate and informative financial information for budget holders, management and the board. In particular you will assist with the processing of management adjustments and production of monthly management accounts, help their budget holders to set and manage their annual budgets and contribute to the completion of statutory accounts and a successful annual audit. Able to pass on written and verbal information clearly and concisely you will communicate effectively on all levels. Their ideal candidate will have experience in working within a finance department including experience of working within a management accounts team; you will also have a sound understanding of accounting fundamentals and Microsoft packages. Qualified at AAT Intermediate level or equivalent you will possess GSCEs or equivalent in Maths and English at C grade or above. Experience of working within the social housing sector would be beneficial. This post requires a standard CRB clearance. Closing date: Thursday 16th February, 2012.
