Job description

My client is a leading telecomms company and is looking for a finance reporting exec who will be responsible for the management of financial reporting for key government framework contracts. Key duties: management to resolution of government procurement agencies questions regarding monthly returns; assisting with reconciliation of actual monthly performance to monthly forecast; assisting with financial reporting for revenues/ costs of £80 - £100 million per annum; working with contract owners to validate monthly/quarterly/annual forecasts; working with contract owners to identify cost reduction/revenue improvement activities; ownership of billing schedule and ensuring that customers are invoiced as per their contract; ensuring timely payment of invoices, through liaison with government procurement agencies and Framework Managers. The ideal candidate will be a part qualified accountant with experience of working with the public sector. Where UK qualifications are specified we will take into account overseas equivalents.
