Purpose
This role is responsible for supporting and managing Oracle Financials and liaising with Technical teams in the US, and managing and supporting all other finance systems managed by the Visa London Hub.
The role is based in Paddington, London. Some travel within the London Hub geographies (primarily Russia, Dubai and South Africa) and to other Visa offices, including the USA, may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of all Financial Systems Application life cycles.
- Input into the strategic direction of financial systems.
- Manage 3rd party suppliers and consultants.
- Project Management of all system related projects such as upgrades and new developments.
- Support business processes by providing guidance on best usage of finance systems and reporting tools.
- Develop user cases and functional specifications/design.
- Participate and provide leadership in software selection.
- Work closely and effectively with different Finance groups, external consultants, and IT domain Managers in delivery of the financial systems roadmap.
- Provide cross-functional strategic planning, identify common and reusable business processes.
- Work with business end users to develop training materials. Assist in training new system users.
- Participate in various systems testing and represent the regions interest in the testing efforts.
Skills & Qualifications
Professional
- Extensive experience of Oracle Financials – essential.
- Proven experience in business intelligence systems such as Cognos and Hyperion.
- Experience of accounting activities, financial and management accounting is highly desirable.
- Degree qualified in accounts or information systems or equivalent.
Personal
- Self-motivated team player.
- Ability to plan, prioritise responsibilities and achieve objectives under time and cost constraints.
- Excellent verbal & written communication and presentation skills.
- Able to communicate and build cross-functional relationships.
