Job description

Newly created UK subsidiary of a very successful corporation in the USA and is due to 'launch' into the Euro-zone from January 2009. This is your chance to join right at the beginning of an exciting new venture to set up the various reporting structures yourself and be involved right from the start assessing performance and reporting structures and monitoring ways that your systems can be scaled up as more people join the business or amend as appropriate. To ensure that the company achieves and maintains a high quality level of financial management in all aspects of its accounting processes, cash management, expense administration, asset management, credit control, purchasing, integration with parent company accounts, management accounts, VAT, taxation, compliance with statutory legislation and good accounting practices including GAAP. In addition, ensure the maintenance of facilities and general office procedures. Reporting directly to the Managing Director your role inevitably will be largely defined by the successes and issues which present themselves as the business is established. Certified Chartered Accountant of graduate calibre, significant experience, ideally perhaps with working within a UK subsidiary of an American corporation and will have supervisory capacity. Direct knowledge of Great Plains - also known as Microsoft Dynamics GP. Fluency in German, French or Dutch. There may be occasional travel to USA and throughout Europe.
