Job description
An excellent new interim Finance Manager position has arisen at an NHS Acute Trust. The post holder will be fully responsible for providing a comprehensive business management service to one of the Trust’s clinical directorates. This will be an integrated service that covers both financial and non-financial performance. The post will help drive the service agenda in each directorate through the provision of high quality costing, budgetary and activity management information. This is a senior role where the post-holder spends the majority of his/her time within a directorate providing first line support. You will have strong links to the Finance and informatics directorate, where more specialist support will be provided in the areas of capital accounting, treasury management, costing and pricing. It is anticipated that you will operate independently and will also constructively challenge all aspects of divisional performance whilst maintaining a team ethic within the division. Ideally a qualified Accountant, you should be able to demonstrate considerable knowledge and exposure to financial management in an NHS Acute environment. In order to hit the ground running, you will need strong communication skills, demonstrated, for example, by successfully communicating financial information to non-financial staff and be able to grasp innovative concepts quickly. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your existing analytical and leadership skills in a relatively new area of the NHS.
Please note, it is unlawful to employ a person in a UK-based job who does not have permission to live and work in the UK. You should make yourself aware of how immigration laws apply to your situation before applying for any jobs. (Refer: Home Office Website).
This position is being advertised by an employment business in the case of temporary positions and an employment agency in the case of permanent positions.
