Job description
Our client is a leading Oil and Gas company with a global presence. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Accountant with oil and gas experience. This role will provide financial and other MI to the Programme Management team and the Leadership team. The incumbent will need to build strong and effective working relationships with Senior level Leaders and Project Managers responsible for individual project budgets, as well as understanding Finance, Planning and good MI fundamentals. They will drive the process to deliver efficient, timely and accurate reporting, while ensuring a robust internal control environment exists. Key accountability's are to: support the security programme in all aspects of financial reporting including forecasts, and MI; coordinate & deliver consolidated month/year end accruals, for both Revex & OPEX budgets; support Project Managers with all monthly finical reporting requirements; coordinate in year delivery against 2012 plan, ensuring that there is an appropriate review of actuals and forecast every month; ensure that there is appropriate linkage with the Central Finance team; develop effective partnerships with the key budgets holders to ensure that maximum value is obtained from the cost management process; actively look for opportunities to improve the process; ensure compliance with all accounting policies and practices; maintain a framework of effective internal controls, including P2P compliance; provide subject Matter Expert (SME) support to budget holders on key financial and procurement systems.
