Job description

My client is looking for a Financial Accountant with good bookkeeping to help with the year end preparation. Supporting the Senior Financial Accountant, the job would primarily consist of: reconciling balance sheet accounts; posting journals; preparing schedules for Auditors & liaising with Auditors. There will also be opportunities to get involved in making payments, answering customer queries, and analysing returns; strong bookkeeping; ability to use accounting systems; intermediate Excel skills (i.e to pivot table level); positive attitude; good communications; flexibility; good team worker; have had previous experience of working within a not-for-profit environment. You must be immediately available and knowledge of the charities SORP would be a plus. This is a large animal welfare charity.
