Job description
A Financial Accountant is required for a large international business to focus on the supply chain accounting of the business along with other financial accounting and reporting responsibilities. This role is a high profile role in the business so the successful candidate should be confident and able to work in a high pressured environment. Responsibilities will include: manage offshore resources to update/maintain the fixed asset ledger accurately; provide reporting for corporate/business requests; perform financial analysis of balance sheet accounts; regular impairment reviews; participate in regular balance sheet reviews and variance analyses; provide accurate and timely statutory & management reporting and accounting under US and UK GAAP; internal control monitoring and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Key requirements: graduate with a recognised finance qualification, eg ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc; proficient in US GAAP (desirable) and local GAAP; experience of working in a global business is preferable; also the successful candidate will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner, strong analytical skills, a flexible approach, integrity and strong influencing skills.
