Job description
Are you immediately available for work? Do you have previous public sector experience and used either SAP or Oracle? Then this may be the perfect opportunity for you. A position has arisen in Central Cardiff for a qualified Financial Accountant to cover a 6 month fixed term contract. For the successful candidate there is a strong possibility of permanent role long-term. Working closely and reporting to the FC you will possess all-round knowledge and day-to-day experience of dealing with a variety of financial transactions, including: preparation of monthly VAT returns; liaison with Auditors both Internal & External, VAT inspectors etc; reconciling Inter-company balances; preparation of quarterly and annual tax & audit packs; weekly cash flow reports (Actual & Forecast); assist the FC with the year end statutory accounts; provide assistance in preparing the management accounts pack and reconciling the fixed asset register; dealing with grant claims; cover for sales/purchase/payroll as and when necessary. The suitable applicant will possess advanced Excel skills and have PQE experience and ideally you will be an immediate starter.
