Job description

Leading IT manufacturing company based in Chessington are looking to recruit for an experienced Financial Accountant to provide assistance to the Company Secretary in maintaining accurate books of accounts and preparation of management information. Duties include preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts including detailed departmental analysis and variance analysis to present to the Operations Board. Preparation of half year and annual statutory accounts. Preparation of audit supporting schedules and liaison with external auditors. Analysis of fixed and variable overhead costs, advising on potential savings. Reviewing the preparation of daily key management information prepared by accounts staff, prior to issuing to management. Management of the Bought Ledger department and review monthly supplier reconciliations Management of accounts department and review monthly the assets and liabilities of the company, including the amount outstanding from suppliers regarding price protection, bid claims, promotional claims and any other claims. Preparation of tax computations and liaison with external tax advisors. Maintenance of accurate bad debt and stock provisions. Assistance in professional development of accounting staff. The successful candidate will be fully qualified ACCA/ACA or CIMA; will have good communication skills, Strong analytical skills, and attention to detail.
