Job description
Our client is looking to recruit a Financial Accountant for a period of 6 months to integrate all areas of the business, from Operations to Marketing, Strategy to IT. There is potential for the role to become permanent depending on future workloads. The company is building towards a potential IPO and is looking for an individual with a professional, proactive attitude who is looking for a challenge. We require a committed individual who will take ownership and thrive in fast-paced environment. As Financial Accountant, your responsibilities will include: assisting with the transition of work across the Finance function; evaluating controls within the financial accounts function and identifying ways to improve processes and controls; reviewing month end balance sheet journals, including provisions and consolidation adjustments; regularly reviewing provision calculations; preparing and reviewing quarterly VAT, IPT, FSA and National Statistics returns; preparing statutory accounts and assisting with tax computations; supporting the Financial Accounts Manager and Financial Controller as required. As Financial Accountant, your experience will ideally include: fully ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified or qualified by experience; previous experience from within a similar position; solid financial accounting experience up to and including the preparation of statutory accounts; demonstrable experience of stakeholder management at a senior level with a track level of delivering under pressure; excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
