Job description
My client, a rapidly expanding company that operates in a niche market, is currently looking to strengthen their Finance team. They are seeking a chartered Accountant with up-to-date technical awareness of UK GAAP and IFRS to report directly to the FC and act as a No. 2 in the department. The role will evolve and change due to the fast moving nature of the business however, initially you will be responsible for: internal reporting, including reviewing the current reporting pack and recommending improvements as well as challenging the figures; assisting with the preparation of annual statutory accounts under UK GAAP and IFRS; managing the corporation tax timetable in conjunction with the Tax Advisors; reviewing current processes and implementing process improvements. This will be a very project focussed role and you will liaise closely with the Senior Management team. Ideally you will be a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) with a strong academic record and excellent communication skills.
