Job description
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and expanding business based on the outskirts of Leeds. Reporting directly to the Group FC, this role is responsible for all aspects of financial, head office and statutory reporting. Role: financial reporting tasks - preparation of the financial accounts including full profit and loss account review and the preparation of variance analysis back to plan and forecast; ensuring accurate management information is produced within the team; to oversee strength of franchise reporting; oversight of cashbook reconciliations, fixed asset maintenance and general accounting tasks (eg accruals & prepayments); responsibility for the efficient running of purchase and sales ledger, ensuring accounts are fully reconciled and payments are paid and received in a timely manner; responsibility for all balance sheet reconciliations and review of the month end file; team management - management of the Financial Accounting team on a day-to-day basis; to drive the departmental objectives ensuring the processes are reviewed for efficiency and oversee improvements made to the key processes. You will be a qualified Accountant will previous experience in the above areas. You will have strong financial accounting experience and have previous experience of leading a team.
