Job description
Our client is one of the FTSE 100's leading international consumer companies and they have an an excellent opportunity to join their Finance team. Known for their strong career planning and development, they are currently looking to hire a Financial Accountant reporting into the Senior Finance Manager. The Financial Accountant will involve: analysis/ad hoc tasks. In-depth review of business areas budget for presentation to Chief Executive and Group FD. Preparation of Group FD's briefing for Business Area Heads meeting. Ad hoc analysis for Group FD and Group FC. Short-term secondments to Business Area teams, Operating Units or newly acquired businesses. Reporting. Preparation of year end and half year statutory accounts. Preparation & review of monthly management accounts (3 days a month). Preparation & review of group budget and strategic plan. Acquisitions & disposals. Review of due diligence work & involvement in completion accounts preparation. Providing advice on the installation of Group reporting software in new acquisitions & training where necessary. Qualifications/experience: the Finance Accountant will be degree qualified with high academics and accountancy qualified. Retail or FMCG experience is desired but not essential.
