Job description

We are currently recruiting for a part-qualified/Finalist Financial Accountant to join this leading international development organisation, where you will be reporting and providing valuable support to the Head of Finance. Within this role you will be liaising with budget holders and non-finance staff to ensure the internal systems and financial procedures are adhered to, management of control accounts, supporting the year end process, reconciliations (including bank and resource). You will also provide finance training support for the wider organisation. The ideal candidate will have proven financial accounting experience, including reconciliations, VAT returns (desirable), fixed assets and have assisted in a year end process. You will have also ideally used Sun systems and have an intermediate to advance knowledge of Excel. Not for profit/charity experience would be desirable; however candidates who want to move from the commercial arena into the third sector are also welcome to apply.
