Job description

Key purpose: to support the Group Accounting Manager in managing the monthly close and year end statutory accounts preparation ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the accounts; to support the Financial Control and Governance Manager in audit review and testing. Duties & responsibilities: manage the month end close to strict deadlines; production and posting of journals; month end account reconciliations; audit reviews & testing; balance sheet reconciliations; cashbook accounting; management reporting; preparation of year-end statutory accounts; VAT analysis; quarterly accounting to Bond Holders; pensions reporting to Trustees. Knowledge, skills & experience essential: part-qualified ACCA/CIMA Accountant; month end accounts; statutory accounts preparation. Experience essential: UK GAAP; property experience. Person attributes essential: excellent problem solving skills; good planning & organisation; flexible to work demands; excellent interpersonal skills; enthusiasm and drive; advanced knowledge of Excel (ie V Look-ups, Sum Ifs, etc). Desirable: VBA skills. Large, household name Property and Construction firm.
