Job description
My client is one of the world's leading international Telecommunication organisations, with its headquartered in London. They operate out of 47 countries across the globe, with a presence in all key insurance markets. Due to continued success my client now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to be based in their Manchester city centre office. Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, the Financial Accountant will ensure key financial numbers are collated, validated and presented to senior management and group in a timely and effective manner. General description: support the FC and Senior Financial Accountant in the development of a quality Finance team commensurate with the needs of the organisation; assist in the production of the monthly & quarterly management reports, reporting package and associated audit files in accordance with best practice; ensure that both internal and external deadlines are continuously achieved with the optimum amount of effort through effective planning; ensure the statutory books and records are properly maintained in accordance with best practice; involvement in various IT projects and participation in the ongoing work to ensure that procedures and processes are as consistent and as efficient as possible. Essential requirements: qualified/part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent; strong financial accounting background; significant experience of working in a complex Financial Services environment; significant experience of manipulating large data sets; basic knowledge of insurance practices; excellent command of MS Office applications; intermediate/advanced Excel; familiarity with Oracle.
