Job description
My client needs a Financial Accountant to manage the Finance department on an operational day-to-day basis and strive to improve existing processes and the service provided to the rest of the business. To ensure that financial controls are applied and the integrity of underlying accounting records are maintained. Reporting to the FC you will be responsible for: management of Finance team to deliver all departmental objectives; maintain balance sheet integrity and ensure financial controls are effective; statutory returns to external bodies; ensure information supplied both internally and externally is timely and accurate; compliance with legislation; liaise with all Auditors and ensure that accepted audit recommendations are fulfilled; budgeting & forecasting; budgetary control for operating costs; VAT returns and monthly VAT invoice for flat file trading; ad hoc queries. You will be a qualified Accountant or equivalent with experience of a manufacturing or engineering environment.
