Job description

A genuine UK market leader with many brand name clients, which has recently become part of a European owned group as a platform for expansion into overseas markets. As part of their business plan this is a newly created opportunity within the Accounts team, reporting directly to the FD. Gaining broad exposure, you will maintain the integrity of the nominal ledger and sub-systems, prepare monthly management and statutory reporting for both local management and group, demonstrating a clear audit trail at each stage of the process. Additional involvement includes completion of statutory returns, corporation tax, foreign exchange accounting, overhead analysis and control. Equally as important as your technical experience will be the kind of proactive approach which challenges the status quo and is quick to contribute new ideas to a constantly evolving organisation. Probably qualified or close to qualifying, you will view this as a step in the process of developing all-round business skills which you will combine with enthusiasm and a desire to add value in a company which has reached an exciting phase in its development.
