Job description
Our client is a leading blue chip business with an exciting brand name. Due to expansion and opportunity has arisen within their head office in Watford for a qualified Financial Accountant who possesses leadership skills and a willingness to succeed. Reporting to the Finance Manager the Financial Accountant will be fully responsible for a hybrid accounting role which encompasses processing of journals, invoices, vendor creation, fixed asset processes, raising POs & preparing management accounts. The other elements of the role will include high end reviews, prepare monthly analytical review dashboards and produce the monthly audit packs which will be presented to the board and consist of high end analytical reviews on the balance sheets, fixed assets, accruals and main ledger positions whilst providing variance analysis on capital expenditure. The Financial Accountant will have responsibility for preparing and implementing a monthly cash flow forecast cycle for the business and aid in the preparation of statutory accounts for certain group subsidiaries whilst being involved in various joint ventures and ad hoc projects. Our client requires a degree educated, qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) or equivalent with strong interpersonal and communication skills. A good knowledge of SAP would be advantageous too. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate within the interview stage that they have the qualities needed to make the step up within their career and think where they feel they can add value to the business.
