Job description
Hudson is currently working with a globally renowned business that is looking to hire a Financial Accountant to join its expanding Finance team. Core responsibilities of the role include: taking responsibility for the coordination of and prepare key deliverables for the audits of financial statements and regulatory returns; prepare financial statements and regulatory returns for UK companies; design and prepare financial models in cash flow forecasting and impairment testing to be assessed by the Financial Controller and CFO; calculate specific US GAAP adjustments and disclosures on a quarterly basis; take responsibility for the preparation of key control account reconciliations as well as journal preparation and review; produce and submit all monthly VAT returns and managed cash flows associated with them; prepare Financial Budgets; participate and add input into ad hoc projects such as ERP system development, corporate simplification and restructuring. The successful candidate must possess an ACA qualification and ideally have a detailed understanding of corporation tax. There is also an emphasis on having outstanding knowledge of US GAAP in alignment with US GAAP adjustments. The successful candidate must also have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as there will be extended interaction with senior members of staff in the business.
