Job description

Financial Analyst required on an interim basis for approximately eight months. Reporting to the Financial Accountant you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely data as required to produce monthly accounts. This will include analysis of the stock position, posting journals, assist in returns for VAT, balance sheet reconciliations and analysing and updating the fixed asset register. Other responsibilities will include analysis of rent and utility cost lines and assisting in the preparation of the annual budget. Fluency in French, German or Dutch is essential along with experience within an analytical post previously. You will also have experience of preparing month end accounts and ideally have knowledge across a broad spectrum of finance. You will have advanced excel skills and ideally be studying towards your CIMA or ACCA qualification although this is not essential. Our client is a large retail company moving their European accounting functions to the Midlands. On site parking is available to all employees. Possible permanent opportunities available to the successful candidates although contractors will also be considered. Only applicants with a suitable amount of UK based finance experience and who have a legal right to work within the UK will be considered.
