Job description

We are the original inventor of Swiftach®, Elastic Staple™, Plastic Staple™, MicroPin™, MicroStitch™ & Buttoneer® Systems & offer a wide variety of injection/extrusion moulded products. Avery Dennison currently has the requirement for a Financial Analyst reporting directly to the FC. Your primary role will be to analyse & report key financial & trade compliance data. As Financial Analyst you will also perform activities to comply with corporate policies, procedures & legislation pertaining to the business transactions regionally & globally, ensuring that all relevant people receive timely, accurate & comprehensive information & advice. Specific duties & responsibilities: production of timely & reliable management information; support & assist the business month end close process; investigate variances against budget/forecast & provide analysis of differences; support & assist AOP & forecast process to achieve published deadlines; responsible for inventory costs & accuracy; update & control the price change approval process in the billing system; manage AR, AP interfaces between billing system & accounting system; liaise with customs brokers, local customs office & Chambers of Commerce to ensure all legislative & documentation requirements are completed in an accurate & timely manner; verify 3rd party import/export documentation, including classification thus ensuring correct payment/claims to Customs & Excise. It is expected the successful applicant will be a part-qualified Accountant with system knowledge including PeopleSoft & Hyperion. Experience of overseas trade compliance procedures would also be an advantage.
