Job description

Excellent opportunity to join an established UK retail business, a high street name with a strong brand in this market place. This is the perfect role for a strong Financial Accountant who is keen to add more analytical experience to their skill set. The responsibilities include a combination of financial accounting and commercial involvement. You will take responsibility for statutory reporting, improvement of financial controls, review and maintenance of balance sheet and tax responsibilities. The other aspect of the role is to support the business, liaising with non-finance managers to formulate their budgets, analyse capital expenditure and work with them on reducing costs and using their budgets to the best advantage. The role reports directly in to the Finance Controller, and will liaise with everyone from the CFO to store managers. Successful candidates will be qualified candidates coming from a practice background would be ideal. You will need the strength of character and communication skills to liaise and challenge at all levels of the business.
