An exciting opportunity has arisen in Cote D’Ivoire for a highly experienced Finance Manager/Superintendent who will manage the company’s finances and operations. The company is a large scale mining company and a market leader in terms of production, reserves and market capitalisation. With operations on a global scale and a strong pipeline of new projects, they’re continually investing in technically capable individuals. Due to the remote location of the mine, there’s strong sense of community development. The organisation is committed to improving standards of living of both employees and the surrounding communities, whilst maintaining and recognising the culture, beliefs and heritage of those in the communities. With an operational focus, the Commercial Superintendent is an integral role within the organisation. As well as your daily responsibilities of reporting and analysis, and management accounting, the role requires an individual who can provide leadership and sit as second in command to the Country Manager Country Commercial Manager. Only candidates with a proven track record in the Mining industry and experience of working in Africa will be considered. You must have a solid understanding of ‘the drivers’ and trends within industry. The ideal candidate will speak French. You must have experience in a similar role with a proven track record in delivering results in an operational environment.
