Job description
Our client is a global leading business with operations throughout the world. This division has a turnover in excess of $4bn and currently operates across 80 countries. Following an internal promotion, we are looking to recruit a high calibre qualified Accountant to join their Centre of Excellence to support commercial and operations understand the financial and accounting implications of transactions and other matters. You will be responsible for review and analysis of balance sheets, proactively managing and assessing financial risk as well as business partnering to advise in areas including acquisitions and disposals. You will also work with teams to drive best practice for financial reporting across regions and support teams in the integration of acquisitions. The ideal candidate is likely to be ACA qualified, probably having trained within the ‘Big 4’. You will have a strong technical skillset, but will also have the ability to apply technical principles to commercial situations, and be able to explain financial principles to non-finance teams. You are likely to have worked for or with an international businesses with complex accounting requirements.
